The Condor Bass has a deep & resonant full voice. We also have a version in Walnut
with Turquoise inlays. These are six-hole flutes with a leather tie to
cover the third hole from the top so you can play it as a five-hole
flute. All the flutes are based on the minor pentatonic scale. When used as a 5-hole flute it is in the pentatonic scale. When the 6th hole under the leather tie is exposed the flute will play the relative major key in both the Diatonic and Chromatic scales.
The D Condor Bass has a large hole pattern and is recommended for
experienced players who are accustomed to a larger finger spread.
Walnut
has an exceptional tonal quality: sound waves traveling through the
tight grain of walnut create a clear, full voice. An added advantage of
this hardwood is durability for outdoor use.
Hand-crafted by Odell Borg at High Spirits Flutes.
Odell makes each flute from a solid piece of the finest cedar, birch, maple and other fine domestic plantation-grown woods, finished with three coats of a non-toxic hardening oil for durablity and clarity of sound, and each is precision-tuned so that it will blend perfectly with other instruments.
The one piece design eliminates the common problem of splitting common among Native American flutes.
Each flute purchased online comes with a free how-to-play audio CD, a booklet (including fingering charts) & a money back guarantee.
