14 1/2" x 30" x 8" The soundboard is spruce and the neck has a core of whitewood, finished in stave construction matching the body. The body is constructed of alternating dark and light wood staves. Colors of actual product may vary. There are three wooden rosette sound holes and no frets. The peg-box is at an acute angle. Includes hard case and pick.
Blemished. These are New and Unused but are considered Second Quality. This means that there is some esthetic irregularity. This oud has a small filled area on the back. Photos are of the actual oud you will be receiving. The irregularity does not affect the playability or sound quality of the instrument. As with any scratch & dent offer, these are a great value.
Trying to decide between the Turkish and the Egyptian Oud?
The Turkish has long been known as the superior instrument.
The Egyptian Oud is a bit larger and has more ornamental touches, although much cruder in finish throughout.
As a larger instrument, the Egyptian Oud works well with the low Egyptian tunings.
