The Uilleann Practice Chanter is made of rosewood and comes in two pieces.
This blemished chanter has bubbles in the finish, you might want to go over the wood with a fine steel wool and use a little oil for a soft finish.
First quality rosewood chanters are currently unavailable.
The body has 7 front holes and 1 back hole.
The top Blowcap has a Plastic Mouthpiece that can be cut to the length that is comfortable for the player.
The rosewood Practice Chanter comes with one reed and plays two octaves from Low to high D. Extra reeds are available for $6.If you need extra reeds you may purchase these at checkout.
We recommend the Davy Spillane Uilleann Pipe Tutor book, this may be purchased at checkout as well.
This chanter will fit on our starter set; no need to buy an expensive chanter to get started.
You may begin with the practice chanter and then plug it in to the starter set.
